A big decision and a big day for our “big” girl…
About a month ago, after witnessing someone get baptized at church on Sunday morning, Camryn leaned over to John and told him she had accepted Christ as her Savior and wanted to get baptized.
Sidenote – Baptism by immersion is a common practice at many evangelical churches for those who are more familiar with infant baptism. Learn more here: www.baptisthistory.org/pamphlets/baptism.htm or en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptism).
Camryn and John went to talk to Pastor Mark Bradley after the service and make arrangements for the process of making this public proclamation of her faith. Camryn shared her story of accepting Christ with the Pastor, with a Deacon, and later with her AWANA group (like girl scouts for church kids). She was (and is) so excited about this decision and followed through and was baptized on Sunday, December 13 by Pastor Mark on his last day (of preaching) as our pastor. He will be leaving very soon to another job as a seminary administrator.
Please keep Camryn in your prayers. She is young (almost 11), and undoubtedly the trouble of the teenage years lies ahead. Will you please join us in praying she will stay true to her faith and that she will seek after God in all that she does?
God moves in amazing ways!
Here are a few photos of her baptism and a short video too!

AH! This stuff makes me so sad I don't live in Pullman anymore. I'm so proud of Cam--what a big step for her. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, espcially because we couldn't be there on her big day.

This reminds me of my own baptism (I was 12) except I was in an actual RIVER! I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers, though I have no doubt that with you as her mom, she'll turn out just perfect!
